Description

One Kearny Club presents the second annual CAAMFeast Awards: Stories, Food & You, an intimate cocktail gathering and culinary awards ceremony benefitting the Center for Asian American Media (CAAM), March 7, 2015. CAAM is pleased to honor the Masumoto Family (Masumoto Family Farms), Danielle Chang (LUCKYRICE), and Tim Luym (Attic Restaurant) for their contributions to new Asian cuisine. This one-of-a-kind event will feature tasting from beloved local restaurants, sneak peeks of CAAM-funded productions showcasing our honorees, and an exciting live auction featuring experiential tastings and travel packages from Saison, Eight Tables by George Chen, and the Mandarin Oriental.

Join CAAM as we honor culinary personalities who are rewriting the conversation around Asian American food. The Masumoto Family members are celebrated fourth generation Japanese American farmers, who challenge and inspire our relationships to food and identity through writing, performance and philanthropy. Danielle Chang is a media-savvy entrepreneur and founder of LUCKYRICE, a series of luxe, metropolitan night markets that showcase her affinity for diverse Asian fare. Chef, restaurateur and consultant Tim Luym boasts numerous awards from the San Francisco Chronicle, 7×7 and a Michelin Bib Gourmand for his refreshing take on Filipino cuisine a la Attic Restaurant, Frozen Kuhsterd and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
