Closing Night: Every Day in Kaimukī

Directed by Alika Tengan

Cast: Holden Mandrial-Santos, Naz Kawakami, Rina White

It’s a familiar tale of leaving home only to wonder if you’ll ever find it again, and it starts when Naz (played by co-writer Naz Kawakami) decides to leave his Hawaiian smalltown, Kaimukī, with his girlfriend. The journey towards the hustle and bustle of New York spurs him to question everything. From planning the travel logistics for his cat to the deeper emotions of whether he will ever find a sense of true belonging, will Naz actually go through with the move?

Director Alika Tengan expected to attend.

This program is co-presented by Pacific Islanders in Communications (PIC) and Hawaii Chamber of Commerce, Northern California.
