River of Small Gods follows the path of Anela, an out-of-work construction worker, as she scrambles to avoid eviction. Displaced from her home, she finds a cryptic want ad by a sculptor who needs someone to gather stones. Lured by the promise of lucrative pay, Anela embarks on a journey that takes her to a sacred riverbed where her material and spiritual needs converge. River of Small Gods is a modern myth about how the land calls to us to restore our connection to it.
