Description

Award-winning director Tanuj Chopra’s world premiere, GRASS, follows an epic adventure of merriment, revelation and the quest for pizza spanning a single day in the park. Two friends, complacent pushover Cam and energetic maverick Jinky, must decide what to do with a backpack full of weed that Cam’s fiancé Austin has assigned her to deliver. A decision to sample the product propels our heroines through highs, lows and more highs as they contemplate the meaning of their friendship and life itself. Will Jinky fulfill her dream of becoming a superhero? Will Cam stay with Austin after meeting dreamy-eyed biker Josh? Will they ever get their pizza?

Chopra’s CAAMFest return follows a Best Narrative Film Jury Award for PUNCHING AT THE SUN (2006), a CAAM-produced comedy series (NICE GIRLS CREW) and his KING’S SPEECH PARODY (2011) short. His newest film’s DAZED AND CONFUSED humor channeled through cast members Pia Shah and Emily C. Chang makes for a captivating chemistry that brings the audience along for the ride through the stages of good and bad trips.
