TEN YEARS THAILAND

“Ten Years Thailand” is a 2018 Thai independent dystopian anthology film, based on the 2015 Hong Kong film “TEN YEARS”. This 2018 Cannes Film Festival-selected film showcases four master Thai filmmakers visions on a dystopian Thailand in 2028. Each contributes an episode about the current political situation in Thailand. Since 2014, the country has been ruled by a military dictatorship that has curbed dissent, public expression, and diversity of thought. A new nationalism is now being promoted with its own narrow rules of correct thought and correct actions. If this is allowed to continue, what will the decade ahead look like? Visually stunning and ultra artistic, this is one film not to be missed.
