Friday May 17
CAAMFest37 is in the Mission District! Join us for the SF Premiere of Valerie Soe's LOVE BOAT: TAIWAN. Also, we are thrilled to partner with the OMCA and their First Friday programming (which includes OFF THE GRID food trucks and live music!). We will be celebrating the Oakland premiere of LEITIS IN WAITING.
Saturday May 18
3 words: JOY. LUCK. CLUB! One of CAAMFest's most ambitious events ever, we are presenting the 25th anniversary of THE JOY LUCK CLUB in the heart of Chinatown with a free, outdoor screening. In Oakland, we will be recognizing the highly buzzed about new podcast: SELF EVIDENT: ASIAN AMERICA'S STORIES.
Sunday May 19
We end CAAMFest37 with style with a full day of powerful films at The Roxie Theater, such as the World Premiere of GEOGRAPHIES OF KINSHIP by Deann Borshay Liem (CAAMFest37 SPOTLIGHT HONOREE). We also commemorate the rich legacy of the late Mayor Edwin Lee with THE PEOPLE'S MAYOR: ED LEE, directed by Rick Quan.
