Ready to make lifelong friends? Whoever is coming out to see this at CAAMFest is ready to cry into the popcorn with you. When a family from Korea moves in next door, Taylor, an adopted Korean-American teen, becomes consumed by the desire to find her birth parents after the death of her mother. In befriending the family, Taylor finds comfort in a maternal figure, tries bulgogi for the first time, and copes with feelings of loss and lack of belonging. B-SIDE FOR TAYLOR is a poignant yet hopeful tale about moving forward through grief, courage (in its many forms), and showing up for our loved ones. The film reminds us to take that leap forward and stand up for ourselves – even if it scares us.
Filmmaker Christina YR Lim expected to attend for a post-screening Q&A.
