During the 2024 U.S. election, hundreds of thousands of voters cast “uncommitted” ballots to send President Biden a message. Their demands? Ceasefire in Gaza, an arms embargo on Israel, and accountability from Democrats. What started as a small campaign in Michigan had blossomed into a national movement, mobilizing communities to redefine American political priorities far beyond the 2024 Presidential Election.
Uncommitted follows Arab and Muslim grassroots leaders and their elected allies as they build the Uncommitted National Movement from the ground up. With an investigative approach helmed by director and longtime journalist Razi Jafri, the film documents the movement’s rise and subsequent backlash – painting a vivid picture of what it looks like when a community steps into its political power.
