    DIRECTIONS IN SOUND, CAAMFest’s premier music showcase, is moving to Oakland! This annual concert is a festival favorite and has been a popular launching point for many celebrated artists, such as Dengue Fever, Awkwafina, DJ Vinroc and many more. This year, CAAM welcomes three bold and dynamic voices in hip-hop: the Bay Area’s own Lyrics Born and Ruby Ibarra will take the stage with rising star G Yamazawa, who comes to CAAMFest from Los Angeles by way of North Carolina. Join us for this powerhouse trio in celebration of the vibrant Asian American music scene.

    Who’s ready to laugh? The DISORIENTED COMEDY team: Jenny Yang, D’Lo, and Atsuko Okatsuka are at CAAMFest and taking over Japantown in a not-to-be missed comedy show. This first-ever (mostly) female, Asian American stand-up comedy troupe has performed more than 70 shows since 2012 and will headline CAAMFest’s Saturday night festivities.
