Every night during the Covid-19 lockdown, hundreds of people from around the world gather in a massive queer dance party known as ‘Club Quarantine.’ Filmmaker Aurora Brachman perfectly captures the mood of the diverse queer communities from isolation to moments of joy and connection.

About the filmmaker: Aurora Brachman is a documentary filmmaker currently riding out the pandemic in Los Angeles, CA. She is an MFA student in Documentary Film at Stanford University and a 2020 Sundance Ignite Fellow. She is also the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship in Filmmaking to the Pacific island nation of Kiribati where she directed the docuseries, Between the Tides. Additionally, Aurora worked on the SHOWTIME docuseries, Couples Therapy, as well as the Sundance Award winning documentary feature, The Fight. Aurora is drawn to stories about intimacy and relationships between families, communities, or within oneself. She primarily makes work about the experiences of various marginalized communities and is committed to collaborative and ethical storytelling.
