Ashima

Among the world’s youngest elite rock climbers, Ashima Shiraishi has achieved numerous age-based climbing milestones and by her side through it all is her number one fan, coach, and father, Poppo, a retired Butoh dancer with no formal climbing experience. When the two New Yorkers travel to South Africa to face a V14 boulder, father and daughter must climb past their own interpersonal struggles as part of the challenge.
