Welcome

At CAAM, we are so excited to welcome you back to CAAMFest 2026 in San Francisco Japantown.

CAAMFest 2026 returns us to our roots, with an ethos that is scrappy, inspired, and full of attitude. The energy of the future is palpable. Through our curated film programming, and the most ambitious Filmmaker Summit ever, we will be hyper focused on supporting how community can drive the building of more robust futures together.

This year, CAAM is embracing a new team curatorial approach. Sapana Sakya is leading our Documentary Features programming, Christian Yau-Weeks and Lauren Lola are leading our Shorts programming, and excitedly, we’re happy to welcome Dino-Ray Ramos back to CAAMFest as our Narrative Features programmer.

Again, CAAMFest is proud to partner with the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco Public Library, KOHO Creative Hub, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, and numerous other community members.

If 2025 was the year of historic challenges and attacks on the work we stand for, 2026 is shaping up as a year of renewed enthusiasm for building the next foundation for not only Asian American, but all independent storytellers. See you at CAAMFest!
