CAAMFeast, Events

Description

Join CAAM for this year’s CAAMFeast Awards: Stories, Food & You, a high-profile, multimedia awards ceremony honoring personalities at the forefront of Asian American culinary achievement and a celebration of ways cultural memory and storytelling are passed down through food. CAAM is thrilled to honor Chef Roy Choi (Kogi BBQ Taco Truck, LocoL, the inspiration behind the 2014 film CHEF); artists and activists Sita Kuratomi Bhaumik, Jocelyn Jackson and Saqib Keval of the People’s Kitchen Collective; and chef’s Khai Duong (Khai, Ana Mandara), Lawrence Chu (Chef Chu’s) and Chris Yeo (Straits Restaurant) of the Asian Chefs Association, for their sincere dedication to the concept of community. Their restaurants and projects have increased access to healthy and affordable food, created career development opportunities for youth and cooked up immersive community meals that nourish souls, feed minds and fuel movements.

CAAMFeast is a one-of-a-kind evening that offers delectable tastings from award-winning restaurants and food purveyors, served alongside top-shelf cocktails courtesy of Rémy Martin. Attendees will meet icons and game-changers of the food world and watch exclusive film clips and moving honoree tributes. An exciting live auction will offer highly sought-after experiences such as gourmet dinners, one-of-a-kind tours and travel packages.
