Gala Presentations

From the story of a young Indian engineer pursuing the American Dream and a young Chinese-Iranian poet discovering her true artistic voice, to the story of 11 time Jeopardy! champion Arthur Chu and the historical epic documentary on the Chinese Exclusion Act, this year's Gala Presentations celebrate the cultural accomplishments and bring to light the generational struggles of the Asian and Asian American experience.

Special Presentations

Celebrating CAAMFest's 35th anniversary, this year's Special Presentations feature a diverse and timely lineup of local and international spotlights, interactive works, anniversary screenings, a Pacific Islander showcase, community screenings and poignant documentaries on the legacy of Japanese American Internment.

Directions in Sound

Featuring emerging and cutting-edge musicians, Directions in Sound exposes Bay Area audiences to innovative artists from the underground music scene. Directions in Sound continues this year to include music-centric films paired with special live performances from the hottest Asian American artists.
