Getting Around
Flying In
When booking your flights to travel to CAAMFest, San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the closest airport to the primary festival venues and hotels. Oakland International Airport is located about 30 minutes via BART and 45 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) airport is located in San Jose, just south of San Francisco. This is about a 1-hour drive from downtown San Francisco.
Getting Around The Festival
CAAMFest is concentrated in some of the most exciting and diverse neighborhoods in the San Francisco Bay Area, such as San Francisco’s hip Mission District, historic Chinatown, storied Japantown/Fillmore Districts and Oakland’s artsy Uptown District. A complete list of CAAMFest venues and addresses can be found here.
The City by the Bay offers a plethora of ways to get around CAAMFest based on your needs and interests.
Public Transportation
We strongly encourage the use of public transportation as San Francisco traffic is unpredictable and parking can be a challenge. All venues are easily accessible by BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and MUNI bus lines. For schedules and fares, please visit BART.gov and 511 Transit Trip Planner, also available as an app.
Bay Area Bike Share
A great way to see the City is on two wheels! Consider renting a bike through Bay Area Bike Share. Visit the website for instructions and stations at http://www.bayareabikeshare.com/.
The Google Maps Website and App, available in the Apps Store, will also provide directions via car, bus, bike and foot.
Parking
Parking is very challenging in San Francisco. If driving is a must, please pay close attention to parking signs and meters. Consider reserving your spot ahead of time via Parking Panda.
