CAAM Programming during the Pandemic
CAAM believes this moment necessitates more precise investments in Asian American media projects and filmmakers. We are particularly poised and eager to catalyze community-wide energy towards maintaining a robust and sustainable Asian American documentary support network. We are pivoting to create and implement core filmmaker support programs in new and in some cases as yet unknown forms, remotely accessible and along a more fluid timeline. This translates to working with our constituents to learn how we can most effectively deliver programs virtually for the foreseeable future and in person, when possible.
Although we are sad that we will not be able to gather the Asian American film community at our Filmmaker Summit, we will be organizing virtual panels and discussions in support of filmmakers and their craft. We hope to be able to respond to the needs of our community in a timely and meaningful way and we invite your participation, support and feedback in this process.
