THE STORY BEYOND A CUP OF SAKE

Japan is known as home for culinary excellence and sake is a key part of that. In THE STORY BEYOND A CUP OF SAKE, Director Hironori Sakurai follows a small brewery for one full year as they harvest and produce their award-winning rice wine, sake. This beautiful and touching documentary is a love letter to the people who are so passionate about their craft. Another highlight is to see the rise of women making a name for themselves in the sake industry.  Enjoy this film… hopefully with a cup of sake.

Director Biography: Director Hironori Sakurai is based in Tokyo and works for a video production company. THE STORY BEYOND A CUP OF SAKE is his first independent film.
